Leadership and Vista Print Linky Party

"The leader always sets the trail for others to follow."

I was tidying up some papers around my house and came across a speech my 13 year old son had written for his Teen Leadership class last year.  I had never seen it before and was quite impressed with his insight.  I liked it so much, that I'm going to adopt it as my "mission" statement this year.  Here are the highlights:

How to be a Great Leader
by Jared

1.   Be authentic. Be true to yourself.  If you aren't being yourself, you aren't truly living.

2.  Care about people.  The more you helps others, the more they will help you.

3.  Make others feel good.  People always remember how you made them feel.

4.  Be honest.

5.  Smile often.

6.  Be positive and focus on what is right.

7.  Be self-sufficient.  It is your greatest freedom.

8.  Be a part of something you believe in.

Pretty good, huh?  There's only one thing I would add.

9.  Start every day anew.  Do not dwell on mistakes.

I'm joining a Linky Party hosted by Christina at
Bunting, Books, and Bainbridge for Vista Print fans.

I've been using Vista Print for years.  I started using them while I was an Avon Representative (a great part-time job for a stay-at home mom!).  The quality is excellent and their products are inexpensive and, sometimes, free!  Here's a few products that I have ordered this summer:

I couldn't resist the owls!  The top is a post-it pad.  The Homework pass was printed as a business card.  The third is a return address label.  The bottom is a business card.  I stick a magnet to the back for the parents' refrigerators!

I'm hosting a Math Daily 5 Linky Party.  I would love it if you would share how you use Guided Math in your classroom!
